DEAR DREW, WITH DEEPEST LOVE, GRATITUDE, AND UTMOST RESPECT. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE.
There are artists whose work leaves a mark on the world— and then there was Drew. His art reached into our hearts, shaped our dreams, and for many of us, changed the way we experienced life. His paintings did more than capture the spirit of cinema; they defined how generations felt about the movies we loved. For me, each poster was a portal—a luminous thread that connected my own imagination to the stories on screen. Drew’s art lit a path that led me straight into a life of creativity; I honestly wouldn’t be where I am today without the example he set.
A day I will never forget - Meeting Drew for the first time in his Studio. Pasadena, September 1997.
What made his legacy truly legendary wasn’t just his unrivaled talent—it was the generosity of his spirit. I’ve been privileged to witness the kindness he extended to people, myself included, the time he spent listening, the care and craftsmanship he poured into every art piece, the humility that shone through even amid great worldwide acclaim.
Dylan, Christian and family — I hold you close in my thoughts and prayers. May you feel the outpouring of love from the countless lives Drew has touched, and may that bring you comfort and strength always.
With all my heart,
Paul.
