Artist Unveils Official Poster Art for Back to the Future’s 40th Anniversary

United Kingdom, Oct 30th 2025 – Renowned artist Paul Shipper has been honoured with the task of designing and illustrating the official poster art for the 40th Anniversary of the iconic film, Back to the Future. As a lifelong fan of the franchise, this project marks a significant milestone in Shipper’s career.

With immense gratitude to Bob Gale, David C. Fein, and the exceptional team at Universal Pictures, Shipper embarked on this creative journey to craft a montage poster that explores new territory for the franchise. Inspired by Drew Struzan’s original film poster, whose work has long been a masterclass in visual storytelling, Shipper aimed to create a piece that complements rather than competes with the classic poster design, weaving together cherished moments and key characters to evoke the magic that first captivated audiences.

“The goal was clear—rekindle that excitement, stir dormant memories, and ultimately, get fans ‘back to the theater’,” said Shipper. “By layering evocative imagery in a dynamic composition, the poster becomes more than just an advertisement; it’s a celebration of the original film’s enduring legacy, crafted to resonate deeply with both longtime fans and new viewers alike.”

This new poster art stands as a bold homage, honouring the past while inviting audiences to relive the magic of this beloved 80s classic. Fans can see Back to the Future in cinemas from October 31st, with the option to experience it in Dolby Cinema for an enhanced viewing experience.
